Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our smokehouse culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting in meal preparation, following our plating standards and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal culinary candidate will have there Food Handlers certificate prior to applying. This role is essential in delivering exceptional dining experiences by ensuring food is prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and restaurant standards
Cook menu items with attention to presentation, quality, and consistency
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
Assist with plating dishes for service, ensuring timely delivery to guests
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
Support kitchen staff during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks
Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred; restaurant experience is a plus
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and meal preparation processes
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
Food handlers certificate
Personal Chef Knives

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
