Office Administrator
Location: 292 Big Apple Drive, Cramahe, Ontario
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time
Reporting To: Operations Support
Start Date: Immediately
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Compensation: $50,000 per annum

Summary:
The Office Administrator provides day-to-day administrative and customer service support for Northumberland Operations. This role is responsible for general office administration, maintaining accurate records, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting daily operational activities.

Responsibilities:

Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act
Provide exceptional customer service
Greet and assist customers and visitors upon arrival at the office.
Answer, screen, and transfer inbound calls; check voicemail and email regularly for messages
Address customer concerns and provide appropriate direct support and/or escalate to management as needed.
Dispatching residential calls/complaints to Route Supervisor and Drivers
Correspond and communicate with the county administrator regarding road/route disruptions.
Dispatch commercial drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers’ locations and daily factors to balance cost and speed of response.
Utilize the TRUX software system to complete daily route closure and review billing reports for accuracy.
Monitoring and tracking of commercial driver’s productivity
Complete daily payroll and reconciliation reports in Ceridian Dayforce
Resolve billing issues or discrepancies, providing clear and timely communication with customers.
Oversee municipal invoicing, address inquiries from the county, and ensure billing aligns with contractual terms, rates and agreements.
File and maintain all administrative documents; update daily records; perform any other general administrative duties as required (both manual paper and electronic filing system).
Print and distribute various documents and announcements.
Coordinate purchasing transactions such as office supplies and other items as requested to support the Northumberland operation.
Provide support to the management team with other projects and duties as assigned.

Competencies & Qualifications:

Successful candidates should have at least 6 months experience, as an Office Administrator
You must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
You must possess excellent knowledge on PC based systems such as Excel, Word, Outlook etc
You must be able to work in fast paced environment
You should have the ability to pay attention to details
