Job Title: Childcare Provider / Nanny

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Childcare Provider / Nanny to provide high-quality care and supervision for our child. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that supports the child’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, safe, and age-appropriate childcare at all times.
Supervise, engage, and interact with the child through educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
Support the child’s daily routine, including meals, personal hygiene, and rest periods as appropriate.
Provide specialized care and behavioural support for a child with autism spectrum disorder, using appropriate techniques and strategies to encourage communication, learning, independence, and positive behaviour.
Prepare healthy, light meals and snacks for the child and assist with feeding as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the areas used by the child, including tidying toys, play areas, and children’s dishes after use.
Perform light housekeeping duties directly related to the child’s care.
Observe the child’s development and communicate any concerns or significant observations to the parents.
Accompany the child to appointments, therapy sessions, educational activities, or community outings when required.
Administer medication or follow medical or therapeutic instructions only as directed by the parents or healthcare professionals.
Ensure the child’s safety and well-being at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 8 years of professional experience as a Childcare Provider or Nanny.
At least 5 years of experience caring for children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental needs.
Demonstrated knowledge of child development and childcare best practices.
Experience preparing healthy, nutritious meals for children.
Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
A valid driver’s licence is considered an asset.

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
