Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role is vital in ensuring a hygienic, organized, and welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

Duties

Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
Conduct deep cleaning tasks such as floor scrubbing, window washing, and carpet cleaning as needed
Maintain cleanliness of all facility surfaces, including desks, furniture, and fixtures
Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper to ensure availability at all times
Perform minor maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs or reporting larger repairs to management
Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures to prevent accidents or hazards
Ensure waste disposal is handled properly by emptying trash receptacles regularly
Keep storage areas organized and ensure cleaning equipment is maintained in good condition

Qualifications

Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required
Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures for various surfaces and materials
Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and floor scrubbers safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks including standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), and walking for extended periods
Reliable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
