Location: Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Shift: Days

Job Type: Fixed Term Contract- 18 Month (ending February 2028)

For more than one hundred years and four generations, customers who have required unsurpassed performance, wide selection, and durability for power distribution, rack mounting, enclosures, and cases, have relied on the Hammond brand.

Position Summary

The planner position, under general supervision, is responsible for materials planning, production scheduling and inventory control to meet customer demand.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with development of the master production schedule to satisfy Customer demand while optimizing production resources and minimizing inventory.

· Review production schedules to determine material and part requirements to ensure availability for on time delivery.

· Participate in daily production scheduling meetings for capacity and material planning.

· Resolving daily problems, through analysis and troubleshooting of issues associated with the key performance metrics

· Monitor external sub-contracting requirements and expedite when necessary. Plating & Silkscreen.

· Support annual physical inventory count.

· Participating and supporting continuous improvement activities and initiatives

· Other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

· Related post-secondary diploma in Supply Chain management or equivalent is preferred

· 1-2 years of previous, related experience in an Inventory or Production role is preferred

· Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred

· Previous experience using an ERP/MRP system (SAGE X3) is preferred

Organizational Relationships:

Will interact effectively and regularly with:

· Hourly operations employees including Production Leaders

· Inside Sales departments

· Purchasing

· Logistics & Shipping

Other Qualifications:

· Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate information

· Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize

· Strong attention to detail

· Problem Solver – Demonstrated ability identifying problems, offering solutions and seeing corrective actions through to completion.

· Action Oriented – Enjoys working hard; has strong sense of responsibility, execution minded and continuously adjusts with changing requirements.

· Technical Aptitude – Good working knowledge of planning BOM’s and an understanding of material planning in this environment. Good working knowledge of material planning functions and systems.
