Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Plumbing Labourer to join our team. Your dedication to this postion would lead to an apprenticeship within 6 months. Variable hours for now from 30-40hrs per week as needed. This role involves assisting with plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks in and around the central and north Simcoe County area .

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a sincere drive to learn the trade of plumbing, and an interest in building trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the plumbing and construction industry, supporting the development of technical skills and knowledge.

Duties

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential systems according to project specifications
Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and install pipes and fixtures
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to support project execution
Perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
Support carpentry, HVAC, and general construction tasks as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols
Inventory

Requirements

Prior construction experience or related trade exposure preferred
Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plumbing systems is highly desirable
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and schematics reading preferred
Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a positive attitude
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks on-site
Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing their skills within the plumbing trade in order to secure an apprenticeship with us.

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
