Full job description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grill Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional food service. You will be responsible for handling transactions in the form of cash, credit/debit and dealing with taking orders from customers.

Duties

Prepare and cook grilled items according to menu specifications and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
Adhere to proper food handling procedures to maintain quality and safety.
Provide excellent customer service by accommodating special requests or dietary restrictions when possible.

Skills

Proficient in cooking techniques, particularly grilling, with experience in food preparation.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Strong background in the food service industry, with prior restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
