JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a customer-focused Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and food items, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating positive guest experiences and upholding brand standards in a fast-paced setting.

Barista Responsibilities:

Enthusiastically welcome and greet guests
Provide beverage and food product information, selection, suggestion and sales
Food and beverage recording, preparation, customer billing and payment settlement
Complex activity and amenities information and recommendations
Inventory and restocking of sections and supplies

What you’ll need as a Starbucks Barista:

No experience needed. On-site Training provided

Education: Secondary School Graduate Diploma preferred

Other Qualifications:

Ability to lift upwards of 50lbs when moving product boxes
Must be able to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
Passion in Starbucks/coffee beverages and mixology
Ability to maintain professional composure at all times, regardless of issue, while performing multiple tasks with multiple guests/multiple items/products
Highly effective conversational/persuasion/influencing skills
Outstanding attention to detail
Ability to work cooperatively within a team setting to anticipate and assist to another barista’s guests’ needs
Ability to quickly respond to changing work volume with high-energy level and speed
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Valid Niagara Region or equivalent safe food handling certificate
