Express Employment Professionals – Guelph is proud to be hiring on behalf of a well-established and reputable public accounting firm in St. Catharine's for a Senior Assurance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will oversee audit and assurance engagements, mentor staff, and play a key role in maintaining the firm’s high standards of client service and financial accuracy.

This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, plus bonus and overtime pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, and paid vacation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all work meets GAAP and CAS standards.
Mentor and develop junior staff, reviewing their work and providing ongoing feedback and training.
Manage compilation and review engagements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with professional standards.

What We’re Looking For:

3–4 years of experience in accounting
Experience preparing and reviewing NTRs, reviews, and audits.
Previous experience leading or supervising audit engagements.
CPA designation (preferred) or currently working toward CPA completion.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of ASPE, IFRS, GAAP, and CAS.
Proficiency with CaseWare, QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting/audit software.
Advanced analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
Natural leadership and team mentorship ability.
Client-focused, collaborative approach with high professional integrity.
Critical thinker with sound judgment and initiative.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional office environment and managing multiple priorities
