Full job description

Locally owned and operated, Ironedge Equipment Ltd. is a full-service heavy equipment dealership specializing in sales, rentals, service, and parts. We support a wide range of off-highway equipment across multiple makes and models, creating a field service environment that is diverse, technical, and rewarding for technicians who enjoy solving complex problems.

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Heavy Duty Field Mechanic to join our field service team. This is a full-time position offering competitive compensation, a highly equipped service truck, and the opportunity to work independently while being supported by a growing organization focused on continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of off-highway heavy equipment in the field
Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service work at customer locations
Complete detailed and accurate digital service documentation
Utilize electronic diagnostic tools and OEM service information systems
Communicate effectively with customers while representing Ironedge professionally
Work independently while maintaining communication with the Field Service Manager and support team
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service truck and work environment

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

Hold a valid Heavy Duty Journeyman Certificate
Have multiple years of experience with off-highway heavy equipment
Be proficient in electronic diagnostics and comfortable using OEM software and digital work order systems
Possess a willingness to continue learning and adapting as equipment and technology evolve
Supply personal hand tools (major service truck equipment provided)
Be self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently
Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
Be detail-oriented, safety-focused, and accountable for producing quality work
Take pride in solving problems efficiently and minimizing comebacks
