Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have restaurant experience, proficiency with POS systems, and a strong understanding of food safety and hospitality standards. This position offers an engaging work environment where hospitality skills and efficiency are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Take accurate food and beverage orders from customers, ensuring timely service
Serve food and drinks in a professional and courteous manner
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the serving area, including bar and dining spaces
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Manage cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations
Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
Assist in setting up and closing down the bar or dining area as needed
Engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and address any special requests or concerns

Requirements

Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in serving or bartending roles, willing to train
Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Must be at least 18 years old or older, depending on local regulations
