Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, engaging with customers and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position requires strong time management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks according to company standards
Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
Manage customer orders efficiently while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
Handle food preparation tasks such as assembling food items and maintaining cleanliness of workstations
Ensure food safety and proper handling of all food items in compliance with health regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment and supplies
Assist with serving customers at the counter or drive-thru as needed
Manage cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions
Follow food safety protocols and ensure proper food handling procedures are adhered to at all times

Skills

Previous barista experience or background in food service is highly desirable
Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and transactions
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Minimum 2 years experience in serving, food preparation, and general food industry practices is a plus
Evening Availability is must
