Pay Range: $35.00 - $43.00 / hr
Position Summary
This RF Technician will have the ability to calibrate higher-level very precise equipment and calibrate equipment across a minimum of three disciplines (or have an expert level of knowledge/calibration experience in one to two disciplines). Must have extensive knowledge of RF and Electrical Metrology.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Highly skilled in metrology in the RF discipline along with Electrical metrology experience, also Machinal experience is an asset.

Experience in calibration of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and attenuators, etc.

Experience in calibration of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, thermometers is an asset.

Experience of calibration test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches is an asset.

Experience with calibration of test equipment such as temperature chambers, PRT’s, thermocouples and is an asset.
- Experience with repair and troubleshooting skills is an asset.

Willing to perform extensive calibrations at customer sites is mandatory.

Experience with 17025 accreditation is an asset.
Education and Experience

Required
-
Minimum 2-year college diploma from college or technical school, and 5 plus years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree 4 years, plus 5 years of RF Metrology experience

Previous experience or training in electronics or machining

Familiarity with basic hand tools

Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Advanced organizational and time management skills

Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing calibration services for test equipment primarily in the field of RF and Electrical metrology field, with some mechanical calibrations as well (i.e. hand tools).

Lead other technicians within a lab environment to keep calibrations on time and the customer turnaround time at an industry standard.

Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques in multiple metrology disciplines
- Maintain calibration standards

Perform calibration work within a laboratory setting and/or while supervised at a customer on-site

Must be able to obtain Security Clearance and Controlled Goods Program Officer

Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards

Model the Company’s values to influence others to perform in an aligned manner.

Ensure training and development plans are in place and communicated to employees to drive performance improvement and career progression.

Complete and deliver accurate, thorough, and prescriptive employee performance reviews on the required timeline.
