Full job description

We are looking for one (1) enthusiastic individual to join our Visitor Experience team in a part-time role working one (1) weekend shift a week. In this role, you are a first and last point of contact for visitors of the Centre, and you provide exceptional customer service at our retail and admissions/memberships desk. This is a retail/sales focused position and not an animal care/education position.

Duties include:

· Providing friendly, welcoming, and helpful customer service.

· Processing customer transactions through admissions and retail tills.

· Processing end of day cash-out and till reconciliation.

· Providing detailed information regarding tickets, memberships and merchandise.

· Answering and transferring calls on a multi-line phone system.

· Maintaining membership contact information and ensuring it’s up to date.

· Ensuring the retail space is always clean, tidy and free from clutter.

· Processing both incoming and outgoing mail and inventory shipments.

Qualifications:

· Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling - experience balancing a till is an asset.

· Enthusiastic positive personality geared towards exceptional customer service.

· Ability to multi-task in a changing environment while maintaining customer interaction.

· Availability to work Saturdays or Sundays.

Note: Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada, be at least 16 years of age and be willing to submit a vulnerable sector criminal record check prior to starting employment.

Pay: $18.48/hour.

Hours: One (1) regular shift a week. Saturday or Sunday. Part-time shifts are 6.5 to 7.5 hours each.

Opportunities for additional days/hours may be available.
