Real Estate Photographer, Videographer & Content Creator
Overview
Zoon Media is looking for a talented and dependable full-time real estate photographer, videographer, and content creator to join our Edmonton team.
This is a field-based creative position combining professional real estate photography, videography, video editing, client service, and organic social-media content creation. The successful candidate will photograph and film residential properties, show homes, communities, and other real estate-related projects throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area while also helping create engaging content for Zoon Media’s social channels.
We are looking for someone with strong technical ability, a sharp creative eye, and the professionalism to represent Zoon Media confidently in clients’ homes and on active job sites. Real estate media experience is preferred, but we are also open to accomplished photographers, videographers and content creators who are eager to learn the specialized requirements of the industry.
The ideal candidate is versatile, organized, and comfortable moving between scheduled property shoots, editing, social content, and other creative projects.
Position Details
Location: Edmonton, Alberta, and surrounding communities
Position Type: Full-time employee
Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience and capabilities
Schedule: Primarily weekdays during regular daytime shooting hours, with occasional evening or weekend work depending on client needs
Start Date: To be determined
Real estate schedules can change quickly, so reliable weekday availability and some scheduling flexibility are essential.
Primary Responsibilities
Real Estate Photography and Videography
- Photograph residential properties, show homes, communities, and other real estate-related projects
- Produce consistent, professional interior and exterior photography
- Shoot polished real estate listing videos
- Capture property walk-throughs, lifestyle footage, community highlights, and agent-focused content
- Create short-form vertical videos for agents, builders, and other clients
- Apply Zoon Media’s established shooting standards and visual style
- Conduct on-site quality checks to ensure all required rooms, features, and details have been captured
- Work with RAW photo and video files
- Edit video projects from start to finish when required
- Colour-correct and colour-grade footage to produce polished final work
- Manage photographs, footage, project files, and uploads in an organized and reliable manner
- Maintain consistent quality while meeting real estate turnaround times
Social Media and Content Creation
- Capture behind-the-scenes content during appropriate shoots
- Create short-form vertical videos, Reels, and other social-first content for Zoon Media
- Photograph and film team, equipment, project, educational, and promotional content
- Edit content into polished, platform-appropriate formats
- Help plan and maintain a consistent organic content calendar
- Develop creative ideas that showcase Zoon Media’s work, team, services, and expertise
- Write clear, brand-appropriate captions
- Schedule and publish approved organic content
- Organize reusable photo and video assets
- Monitor basic content performance and identify successful topics and formats
- Support occasional agent-branding, builder, commercial, and community content projects
This part of the position is focused primarily on organic content creation, planning, and publishing. Paid advertising and advanced digital-marketing strategy are not core responsibilities.
Client Service and Team Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally with clients, Realtors, homeowners, builders, and team members
- Arrive on time, prepared, and appropriately equipped for every scheduled appointment
- Represent Zoon Media professionally at every property and client interaction
- Work independently while communicating clearly with the operations team
- Adapt to schedule changes and shifting project priorities
- Keep equipment and workspaces organized and properly maintained
- Participate in training, team meetings, and quality-control processes
- Assist with other photography, video, editing, and media projects during slower listing periods
Depending on experience and qualifications, the role may also include:
- Drone photography and video
- Floor-plan measurements
- iGUIDE, Matterport or other virtual-tour capture
- Builder, commercial, and community media projects
- Agent-branding and promotional content
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Professional photography and videography experience
- A strong portfolio demonstrating both photography and video skills
- A solid understanding of composition, lighting, exposure, camera movement, and visual storytelling
- Experience working with RAW photo and video files
- Strong colour-correction and colour-grading ability
- Experience using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or comparable professional software
- Strong organizational and file-management skills
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s licence
- Reliable weekday availability during daytime shooting hours
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- The ability to adapt to changing schedules and project requirements
- Excellent attention to detail
- A professional, dependable, and client-focused approach
- The physical ability to carry photography equipment and work throughout multiple properties each day
Preferred Qualifications
The following would be considered strong assets:
- Previous real estate photography or videography experience
- Experience photographing interiors and managing challenging window exposures
- Drone certification and commercial drone-operating experience
- Experience creating short-form vertical content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms
- A strong understanding of hooks, pacing, framing, and storytelling for social media
- Experience planning or maintaining an organic content calendar
- Strong caption-writing and written communication skills
- Familiarity with social scheduling and analytics tools
- Floor-plan measurement or virtual-tour experience
- Familiarity with Edmonton and surrounding communities
- Experience working with Realtors, home builders, developers, or commercial clients
- The ability to appear occasionally on camera, although this is not required
Compensation and Benefits
Zoon Media offers:
- An annual salary of $60,000–$70,000, based on experience and capabilities
