Full job description

Nous sommes une entreprise familiale locale en activité depuis 1996. Spécialisés dans la construction agricole, nous construisons entre autres des granges, poulaillers et porcheries. Nous avons une expertise dans le domaine de la construction agricole, mais aussi de la construction commerciale.

En tant que Charpentier, vous serez chargé d’effectuer une variété de tâches, notamment:

Respecter les consignes de sécurité et les procédures.
Préparer la disposition du projet et déterminer les dimensions et les matériaux requis selon les directives et les lignes directrices du contremaitre.
Construire des formes et aider à les élever à l’élévation requise.
Fixer les piquets aux grilles pour les constructions de semelles ainsi que faire vibrer et flotter le béton.
Mélanger, couler ou étendre le béton et lisser ou finir le ciment ou le béton fraichement coulé à l’aide de divers outils.
Effectuer la disposition d’espacement des liens (tie spacing) et mesurer, marquer, percer ou couper.
Utiliser divers outils.
Façonner et couper les matériaux selon des mesures précises.
Installer des structures ou des accessoires tels que des fenêtres, des cadres, des planchers, des moulures ou du matériel, à l’aide d’outils manuels ou électriques.
Vérifier la justesse de la structure à l’aide du niveau et du laser.
Construire des charpentes, planchers, trusses ou autres accessoires en bois utilisés dans les bâtiments.
Ériger ou démonter des coffrages en béton, des échafaudages, des étaiements, des contreventements, des barricades de circulation, des rampes ou d’autres structures temporaires.
Pose de la finition intérieure et extérieure.

Le candidat idéal aura :

Un minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en construction.
Une connaissance des méthodes et techniques de construction avancées.
Des compétences en mathématiques et mesures avancées.
De solide capacités de diagnostique et de résolution de problèmes.
La capacité de travailler sans supervision et en équipe.
Une grande éthique de travail (fiabilité, honnêteté, ponctualité)
Une bonne condition physique, car le travail implique des charges lourdes et de longues périodes debout.
Un permis de conduire valide (aucun transport en commun dans la région)

We are a local family company that has been in business since 1996. Specializing in agricultural construction, we build farms, hen houses and hog barns, amongst other things. We have an expertise in the field of agricultural construction, but also commercial construction.

As a Carpenter, your duties may include the following :

Follow safety instructions and procedures
Prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required according to the foreman’s directives and guidelines.
Construct forms and assist in raising them to the required elevation.
Secure stakes to grids for construction of footings, nails scabs to footing forms, as well as vibrate and float the concrete.
Mix, pour or spread the concrete and smooth or finish the cement or freshly poured concrete using various tools.
Perform tie spacing and measure, mark, drill or cut.
Use various tools.
Shape and cut materials to precise measurements.
Install structures or accessories such as windows, frames, floors, moldings or hardware, using hand or power tools.
Check the accuracy of the structure using the level and the laser.
Build frameworks, floors, trusses or other wooden accessories used in buildings.
Erect or dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, shoring, bracing, traffic barricades, ramps or other temporary structures.
Installation of interior and exterior finishing.

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of 5 years of construction experience.
Knowledge of advanced construction methods and techniques.
Advanced math and measurement skills.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work without supervision and in a team.
Great work ethic (reliability, honesty, punctuality)
Good physical condition, as the work involves heavy loads and long periods of standing.
A valid driver’s license (no public transportation in the area).
