Full job description

Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The Program Leader will oversee after-school activities, provide tutoring support, assist program manager and foster a positive environment that encourages learning and development. Experience in early childhood education, teaching, or working with children is highly valued for this position.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage after-school activities for children ages 6 to 12
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during program hours
Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork
Communicate effectively with parents and staff
Maintain a clean and organized activity space in compliance with safety standards
Assist with the setup and cleanup of activities and materials as needed

Requirements

Experience working with children preferred
Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children
Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging children
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Work afternoons during school hours is essential, there is some flexibility on hours for camp programs
First Aid/CPR
Criminal Record Screening Certificate and/or Vulnerable Sector Check

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
