Full job description

Reporting to the Operations Manager– the Project Manager will:

· Direct the execution of projects in accordance with customer standards and expectations for progress and quality assurance; measuring progress against plans; tracking budget and forecasts from a project perspective; and reporting to management.

· Ability to understand and interpret drawings including discrepancies between tender and issue for construction, potential issues, opportunities and risks.

· Ensure system rollouts and activities, including engineering and design, employee and customer communications are in place to support complete project.

· Establishing and managing the project budget and procuring resources that enable the project to be delivered on time and budget.

· Identifying and minimizing potential risks to the project timeline and budget by performing effective risk mitigation, documentation and escalation.

· Constructively contribute to project teams’ achievement of overall customer satisfaction and quality objectives.

· Preparing and delivering formal presentations and reports to both internal and external customers.

· Attend meetings and customer sites to ascertain customer requirements.

· Staying abreast of technology developments and competitor implementations on an ongoing basis to ensure the value and functionality of the customers’ requirements.

· Prepare and present required quotations, proposals, and sales forecasts.

· Serve customer needs by addressing inquiries as required.

· Act as the liaison between internal teams and the customer.

· Ability to win new business by fostering and maintaining relationships with customers.

· Familiarity with applicable government regulatory and safety requirements.

· Driven to apply lessons learned to continuously improve processes.

· Effectively communicating and resolving issues arising out of installation, commissioning and ducting, and ventilation, systems.

Qualifications:

· Post Secondary education in related trade. Trade Certificate preferred.

· Minimum 6 years’ experience working onsite in industrial, commercial, residential, institutional environments in a maintenance or project management capacity.

· Experienced project manager from concept to commissioning, primarily in the construction industry.

· Sound technical background with experience evaluating failures and providing cost effective, and innovative solutions.

· A good understanding of installation and commissioning of HVAC/Plumbing processes .

· Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.

· Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, quality and reliability.

· Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.

· Strong communication and presentation skills.

· Knowledge of building codes.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and still produce high quality results.

· Ability to work independently and under stress, to meet deadlines and perform effectively in emergency situations.

· High energy level is essential.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs and Autocad

· Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation.

· Team player.

· High level of personal integrity.

· Focus on continuous learning and personal development through internal and external training.

· Ability to stand and walk continuously is a must.

· Proven dedication to customer satisfaction.

· Representing Haller Mechanical Contractors Inc. in a professional, courteous and tactful manner at all times.
