Position Summary:

Middle Beach Lodge is looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to help lead our Front Office team and ensure every guest experience reflects the warmth, professionalism, and care that define our lodge.

This is an ideal opportunity for a hospitality professional ready to take the next step into leadership while living and working in one of Canada’s most extraordinary coastal environments.

What You’ll Do:

The Front Desk Supervisor plays a key leadership role in daily operations, supporting the Front Office team while ensuring seamless guest experiences from arrival to departure. This role blends hands-on guest service with team leadership, operational oversight, and collaboration across departments.

As a Supervisor, you will also serve as Manager on Duty when scheduled, acting as a key decision-maker and point of contact for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

Deliver warm, personalized service that reflects Middle Beach Lodge’s West Coast hospitality style
Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
Anticipate guest needs and create memorable moments throughout the stay
Ensure lobby and reception areas maintain a welcoming, polished atmosphere

Front Desk Operations

Oversee daily front desk operations, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest communications
Support reservations accuracy and ensure guest profiles and stay details are complete
Monitor room status, arrivals, departures, and special requests
Ensure adherence to lodge policies, procedures, and service standards

Team Leadership & Support

Provide guidance, coaching, and daily direction to Front Desk Agents
Lead by example, fostering a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture
Assist with training and onboarding of new team members
Support scheduling needs and shift coverage in collaboration with leadership

Manager on Duty Responsibilities

Act as primary on-site contact in the absence of senior management
Support operational decision-making across departments
Respond to guest or operational issues with professionalism and sound judgment
Ensure safety, security, and service standards are upheld at all times

What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills

Previous front desk or guest service experience in hospitality
One years supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Comfortable using property management systems and standard office software
