Full job description

Practice Details:

As a neurologist at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) in Trail, youâ€™ll deliver patient care and help strengthen neurology services for the community.

In this role, youâ€™ll combine office-based practice with working alongside other specialists, providing inpatient and clinic care for patients across the Kootenay Boundary region. Youâ€™ll also have access to diagnostic tools, including MRI, EEG, and EMG to support your practice. With support from the acute stroke service in Kelowna, youâ€™ll work as part of a network that provides coordinated care across the region, including Nelson, Castlegar, Grand Forks, and Arrow Lakes.

Youâ€™ll have the flexibility to shape your practice around your interests, whether in movement disorders, seizures, or general neurology. Youâ€™ll also have the opportunity to develop services such as a TIA clinic to support regional care.

Youâ€™ll have opportunities to teach and mentor through the UBC Faculty of Medicine and residency programs, integrating clinical teaching into your schedule alongside patient care.

Qualifications:

Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)
Eligible for licensure with CPSBC
Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory

Compensation:

Estimated Gross Income

Annual billings of $300,000â€“$500,000 can be expected for a full-time commitment, based on a combination of hospital-based and community practice. Actual income will vary depending on clinical activity and call participation.

Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC);Eligible for licensure with CPSBC;Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association is mandatory
