Full job description

Ontario Truss & Wall (OTW) is a locally operated, top quality Truss and Wall Designer and Manufacturer. Founded in 1982, OTW has been a staple in the local construction industry for over 35 years. Quality, Design and Precision has allowed OTW to efficiently grow year over year, which requires a growing team. The current opportunity at OTW is for General Laborer *Afternoon Shift-4pm-3am- Monday thru Thursday - No Fridays*

The successful candidates will have knowledge of woodworking, framing experience, will be a hardworking, self-motivated and punctual. These candidates will be responsible for the assembly of trusses on automated and manual jig machines, or working on supporting machinery.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including all healthy and safety policies.
Responsible for working and operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner, keeping work area orderly and clean.
Responsible for maintaining and upgrading skills as required by management to maintain job proficiency.
Responsible for notifying management of any unsafe situations that may arise or occur in the performance of duties
Assist in training and integrating new employees within the company.
Other duties deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications:

Experience with truss/wood working equipment is considered an asset but not required.
General Labor experience an asset.
Works well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Valid Drivers License.
Reliable transportation.
Must have Steel-toe Work boots.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Work Location: In person
