Goodfellow & Schuettlaw is looking for a Junior Real Estate Legal Assistant to join our Edmonton office. What You'll Do

Working alongside our Real Estate team, you will play an important role in helping transactions move smoothly from opening to closing.

Responsibilities include:

Opening, organizing, and maintaining client files
Preparing correspondence and legal documents
Communicating with clients, lenders, realtors, and other third parties
Managing calendars, appointments, and important deadlines
Assisting with residential and commercial real estate transactions
Conducting conflict checks and file opening procedures
Maintaining accurate file records and electronic databases
Providing administrative and clerical support to lawyers and paralegals
Supporting the team in delivering exceptional client service
Learning new processes and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Legal Assistant or Paralegal Certificate/Diploma
1 year of experience in a law firm or professional office environment
Experience in real estate, litigation, collections, or other legal practice areas is considered an asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with LEAP, Unity, or other legal practice management software is an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
