Gate Gourmet, the world’s largest provider of catering and provisioning services for the airline industry is hiring a full time second cook.

We are looking for active and dynamic individuals to support our team located at the Winnipeg International Airport.

These positions are represented by a labor union and are covered by one or more collective bargaining agreements.

Some of the duties will include:

We require:

At least 2 years’ experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment
Read, write and follow food specifications and menu guidelines in English
Able to handle pork, poultry, meat and fish products
Culinary degree or cooking certification will be an asset
Own transportation (Isolated location)
Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays (facility works 24/7)
Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
Must be able to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds
Be able to regularly stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts of 8 + hours
