About the Role:

The role of an Electrical Apprentice will require an individual willing to work within a team under the supervision and guidance of a Journeyman Electrician to effectively provide our clients with residential solar installations.

Key Responsibilities:

Navigate 2-storey residential roofs safely with fall arrest equipment (provided).
Ascend and descend 32ft extension ladders.
Pull wire and install conduit, electrical boxes, and equipment.
Carry & install solar modules on pitched roof faces.
Assist team and Journeyman with electrical work required to complete solar installations.

Qualifications:

We’re looking for a candidate who maintains a professional demeanor and possess the following qualifications:

Skills and Abilities:

Great verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in residential electrical work (preferred but not required).
Knowledge about basic home construction is an asset.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Comfortable working at heights and on 2-storey pitched roofs with company-provided fall protection equipment.
Flexible to work varied hours and locations within Edmonton and the surrounding areas, Monday to Friday.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more, multiple times per day.
Willingness to learn of electrical code, prints, diagrams, and schematics.

Requirements:

Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle.
Basic electrical hand tools and 18v drill.
Fall Arrest certification.
Criminal background check.
