Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our busy restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase culinary skills while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure timely meal service.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
Assist with food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Ensure all food handling procedures meet safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area throughout shifts
Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or servers
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are met
Support team members in meal assembly during busy service periods

Experience

Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting is advantageous
Strong understanding of the food industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and quality assurance
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
