Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Skilled Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various construction trades, including carpentry, masonry, and more. This role involves performing a wide range of hands-on tasks to support construction projects, restoration efforts, and installation jobs. The successful applicant will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying to ensure durable and precise results
Install cabinetry, flooring, drywall, and other building components with attention to detail
Perform caulking, painting, masonry work, welding, and other trades as needed
Support demolition, restoration projects, or site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment
Estimate materials and labor requirements for various tasks based on project plans
Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries on site

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation (preferred)
Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, tile laying, flooring installation
Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus
Experience with restoration projects or cabinet installation is advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret technical instructions
Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads (up to 50 pounds), working at heights or in confined spaces
Valid <PERSON> certification or relevant licenses are preferred but not mandatory depending on the project requirements
