Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Demolition Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely dismantling structures, preparing sites for new construction, and ensuring all demolition activities adhere to safety standards and project specifications. Your expertise will help facilitate smooth project progress while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse demolition projects, utilizing a variety of skills and tools to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities

Safely demolish buildings, walls, floors, and other structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment in accordance with project plans and safety protocols
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand demolition scope and sequence
Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes to facilitate large-scale demolition tasks
Prepare sites by removing debris, hazardous materials, and ensuring proper disposal or recycling of materials like concrete, wood, metal, and drywall
Assist with site restoration activities including concrete finishing, masonry repairs, carpentry tasks, and painting to prepare the site for subsequent construction phases
Use hand tools such as sledgehammers, chisels, drills, caulking guns, and other equipment to perform precise demolition work
Collaborate with team members on estimating demolition timeframes and resource needs to meet project deadlines efficiently

Requirements

Proven construction experience with a focus on demolition projects or related fields
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
Knowledge of concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, tile laying, and cabinetry is highly desirable
Familiarity with construction estimating processes and site restoration techniques
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to demolition activities including hazardous material handling
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
