Full job description

JOB BRIEF

Shotgun Wedding is seeking an Assistant Wedding Coordinator to organize and facilitate elopements and small weddings in Banff National Park and Canmore. You'll be onsite during weddings — coordinating with the photographer, officiant, and guests to keep everything running smoothly.
You'll work independently but as part of a close team alongside the photographer, officiant, other coordinators, and the creative director. Strong communication, sharp attention to detail, and genuine enthusiasm for the role will set you apart. You'll take a leadership role on wedding days, problem-solving and adapting as situations arise, all with the goal of giving our couples an unforgettable experience in the Canadian Rockies.
Successful application must live (or relocate) in Canmore or Banff to work in this position.
You must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record. You may be driving the company vehicle as part of your role
Understand the requirements for each wedding/event
This is a part-time role

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant the photographer, officiant, guests and clients on the wedding days to ensure a great experience for everyone
Set up chairs, arches, decor, etc. You must be able to walk up to 15km a day and be able to carry chairs and other items. This can be a physical job.
This is a seasonal role that is available until the end of October.

OTHER

This is a job for someone 18+
The job will require you to work most weekends (Friday to Sunday) and some weekdays.
The successful applicant must have a clean and valid driver's license
The successful applicant must be able to walk up to 15km a day.
This is the perfect job for something who loves the outdoors, being part of a celebration, and loves interacting with people.
