Opening Fall 2026, Bardo Elora is an exciting new restaurant located in the heart of Elora along the Grand River. As part of the Elora Mill property, we're creating a destination where exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and unforgettable experiences come together. This is a unique opportunity to join a founding team, help shape a new restaurant from the ground up, and be part of something remarkable from day one.

The Lead Server embodies excellence while supporting the Bardo Front of House team. The individual in this role leads by example to ensure that daily operations needs are being met while creating superior guest experiences. Working cohesively with the Restaurant Manager and Chef de Cuisine, the lead server assists with overseeing restaurant service, providing training, and acting as an example of genuine hospitality. This role will involve a combination of supervisory and serving shifts.

You have 3 of years serving or bartending experience. Supervisory experience is an asset!
You enjoy working as part of a team and supporting those around you.
You are highly organized and a skilled multitasker.

Accountabilities:

Manage a moderately busy shift, ensuring smooth operations and delegating tasks to optimize restaurant performance.
Promote restaurant initiatives and special events building relationships with existing guests and encouraging new visits.
Stay updated on restaurant services, promotions, and policies to provide accurate and timely information to guests.
Support guest inquiries and resolve complaints while ensuring a professional, courteous demeanor at all times.
Act as a mentor to the team: embody a great service culture and display a high level of service and excellence.
Ensure team members are fully trained on menu details, enabling them to confidently discuss menu offerings and enhance the guest experience.
Coordinate and participate in training sessions to maintain high standards of service, operational procedures, and team development.
Assist in onboarding new team members providing guidance to ensure smooth transitions.
Act as an expert and trainer on all operational systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring team adherence and consistency.
Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting collaboration, teamwork, and a dependable work ethic.
Demonstrate proficiency in all restaurant roles and responsibilities, with the ability to support the team as needed.
Support the front-of-house menu change process, ensuring smooth transitions and proper communication with the team.
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking supplies, ensuring easy access to necessary items.
