Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and butchery, with a strong focus on food safety and quality. This role involves preparing, cutting, and packaging meat products to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. The Meat Cutter will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive fresh, high-quality meat products in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards and customer requests
Ensure all meat products are handled and stored following food safety regulations
Operate meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently
Package meat products for retail display or wholesale distribution, ensuring proper labeling
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, tools, and equipment in compliance with health standards
Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies
Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed
Follow all food handling protocols to ensure product quality and safety at all times

Skills

Proven experience in food industry settings, particularly in butchery or meat cutting
Strong knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety procedures
Ability to operate knives, saws, grinders, and other meat processing equipment safely
Excellent attention to detail to ensure precise cuts and proper packaging
Good physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting heavy loads as required
Customer service skills to assist customers with product inquiries or selections
Kitchen experience is preferred to understand food hygiene standards and efficient workflow practices

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
