Full job description

Build a Career in Financial Planning

Innova Wealth Partners is looking for an exceptionally organized, proactive and capable individual to join our team as an Advisor Support & Client Service Associate.

This is not a traditional administrative assistant position.

The successful candidate will work closely with one or more Financial Advisors and become an important part of how we deliver an exceptional client experience. Your role will be to help keep advisors, clients and planning work organized, moving forward and consistently followed through to completion.

For the right person, this is also an opportunity to learn virtually every aspect of the financial planning profession.

Over three to five years, we expect this role could provide a strong foundation for several career paths within Innova, including becoming a Financial Advisor, Associate Financial Planner, Paraplanner, Investment Processing Specialist, Insurance Processing Specialist, or moving into other areas of our growing organization.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include:

Proactively managing and organizing advisor inboxes
Reviewing incoming emails and identifying priorities, deadlines and urgent client matters
Drafting routine responses and client follow-ups
Following up on outstanding items until they are completed
Booking and coordinating client meetings
Managing advisor calendars and helping protect time for important priorities
Preparing documents, reports and materials for client meetings
Ensuring advisors are properly prepared before meetings
Tracking recurring tasks, commitments and client follow-ups
Closing loops on outstanding client requests
Updating client information and maintaining accurate CRM records
Assisting with financial planning data entry and plan updates
Learning to update financial plans independently over time
Coordinating with our investment, insurance and financial planning teams
Assisting with investment and insurance documentation
Occasionally participating in client meetings
Identifying opportunities to improve workflows, processes and the client experience

As your knowledge and capabilities grow, so will the scope of the role.

You are someone advisors can rely on to remember commitments, recognize what needs attention, follow up without being asked, and ensure that important work gets completed.

You will help create structure around busy professionals and complex client relationships.

Education & Experience

A university degree or college diploma is preferred.

Previous experience in financial services, banking, investments, insurance, accounting, administration or professional services would be an asset, but is not required.

Investment accounts
Insurance
Tax planning
Estate planning

Client service in a professional environment

Financial industry designations are not required.
