Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, extensive automotive parts knowledge, and experience in retail sales or dealership environments. This role involves assisting customers with parts inquiries, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth sales operations to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.

Duties

Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts through effective communication and product knowledge.
Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using POS systems and CMMS software.
Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering technical advice, and resolving issues promptly.
Support order fulfillment by accurately picking, packing, and organizing parts for delivery or pickup.
Maintain organized stock areas, ensure proper labeling, and assist in inventory audits.
Collaborate with the sales team to promote products, assist in marketing efforts, and support sales management initiatives.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting purposes.
Communicate effectively with team members and customers via phone etiquette and professional interpersonal skills.
Perform maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the parts department.

Requirements

Previous dealership experience or retail sales background preferred.
Proficiency with POS systems, Microsoft Excel, and order fulfillment processes.
Knowledge of automotive repair parts, CMMS software, and maintenance procedures is a plus.
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management.
Excellent communication skills for customer interactions, negotiation, and teamwork.
Experience in sales management or marketing strategies is advantageous.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Demonstrated customer service excellence with a focus on building lasting client relationships. This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise in automotive parts combined with your sales skills can make a significant impact on customer satisfaction and dealership success.

Pay: $17.20-$29.26 per hour
