Job Title: Shipper/Receiver – Inventory & Forklift Operator (Days, Mon–Fri)

Pay: $21.00–$23.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Shift & Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM — day shift, no evenings, no weekends

Location: Alliston, ON (in person)

We're a growing dairy processing company in Alliston looking for a dependable Shipper/Receiver who takes pride in accuracy and doesn't mind rolling up their sleeves. This isn't just a loading dock job, you'll own our inventory, keep supplies ordered and stocked, and be the person who makes sure nothing runs out and nothing goes missing. If you're tired of rotating shifts, weekend work, and being a number at a big warehouse, this is a chance to join a small, tight-knit team where your work is noticed and your schedule never changes.

What you'll do

Shipping & Receiving

Receive incoming ingredients and packaging, check counts, temperatures, and lot codes
Pick, pack, and load outgoing wholesale and retail orders accurately
Coordinate bulk milk tanker shipments, including loading and paperwork
Operate a forklift and pallet jack daily

Inventory & Ordering

Own inventory accuracy, maintain records, run cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies
Monitor stock levels of packaging, ingredients, and supplies; reorder before we run out
Place purchase orders with approved suppliers and follow up on delivery timelines
Rotate stock (FIFO), track best-before dates, and flag short-dated product
Support month-end inventory counts

Team Support

Pitch in on the production floor when the team needs a hand
Keep the dock and cold storage clean, organized, and inspection-ready

What you bring

Valid Forklift Certificate (required)
1+ years of shipping/receiving or warehouse experience
Experience with inventory management or purchasing (or a strong desire to own it)
Sharp attention to detail — lot codes, dates, and paperwork matter here (we're a federally regulated food facility)
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in cooler environments
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Comfortable with computers inventory software, spreadsheets, email
Bonus points: experience in food manufacturing, dairy, or cold storage

$21–$23/hour based on experience
Full-time, permanent position
3-month probationary period with a formal review
