Full job description

VVS Films est à la recherche d’un analyste comptable talentueux et dynamique.

Le titulaire du poste assistera le contrôleur et l’assistant-contrôleur dans l’ensemble du processus des opérations financières menant à la préparation de rapports afin de fournir une information précise en temps opportun à la direction.

Fonctions et Responsabilités

· Extraire et compiler les informations financières à partir du système comptable pour les rapports trimestriels de redevances.

· Assister dans les processus de fin de mois en préparant des écritures comptables, des réconciliations et des extractions pour les rapports de fin de mois.

· Préparer et analyser mensuellement des rapports de revenus et de dépenses.

· Être responsable du traitement des factures fournisseurs en temps opportun

· Coordonner les encaissements des revenus des cinémas et s’assurer de leur comptabilisation dans les systèmes de la compagnie.

· Génère des rapports pour les comptes clients et effectuer le suivi des comptes à recevoir en souffrance

· Travailler en collaboration étroite avec l’assistante-contrôleur, commis aux recevables, payables et avec d’autres départements.

· Préparer les conciliations bancaires mensuelles

· Préparer des analyses et rapports selon les besoins de la compagnie.

· Autres tâches connexes.

Exigences du poste

· Baccalauréat en administration des affaires ou équivalent (option comptabilité – un atout).

· De 2 à 3 ans d’expérience dans un poste en comptabilité.

· Bilingue (Français-Anglais). Rapports produits en anglais.

· Connaissances avancées d’Excel (tableau dynamique-croisé, VLookup, Sumifs, etc.)

· Être innovant et créatif dans l’amélioration de tableurs existants et le développement de nouveaux tableurs.

· Expérience dans la gestion et l’analyse de bases de données volumineuses.

· Expérience pratique avec le logiciel comptable Accpac (Sage) – un atout

· Excellente capacité de communication, d’analyse et de solutionner des problèmes ainsi que de bonnes qualités d’organisation sont essentiels.

VVS Films is looking for a talented and dynamic Accounting Analyst. The position is responsible for assisting the controller and assistant-controller with the overall financial operations for the purpose of internal and external reporting to provide accurate timely information to management.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Extract and compile financial information from the accounting system for quarterly royalty reports.

· Assist with month-end processes by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and data extractions for month-end reporting.

· Prepare and analyze monthly revenue and expense reports.

· Responsible for processing vendor invoices in a timely manner.

· Manage the flow of revenue and collection data for our theatrical sales department. Ensure complete recording and monitoring within our accounting systems.

· Generate accounts receivable reports and follow up on overdue accounts.

· Work closely with the assistant-controller, accounts receivable and payable clerks and other departments.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.

· Perform miscellaneous analyses and reports as needed by the company.

· Perform other related tasks.

Education & Required Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent (major in accounting – an asset).

· 2 to 3 years working experience in an accounting role.

· Bilingual (French/English) - English reporting.

· Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLookup, Sumifs, etc.).

· Be innovative and creative in the improvement of existing spreadsheets and generate new efficient documents that support Management.

· Skilled at managing and analyzing large data sets.

· Knowledge of budget and financial analysis techniques.

· Experience with Accpac (Sage) accounting software – an asset.

Required Skills & Abilities

· Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, and organizational skills are essential.

· Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
