Full job description

Mercedes Textiles Limited est un fabricant de pompes, de tuyaux et d'accessoires de lutte contre l'incendie, situé dans l'ouest de l'île de Montréal. Nous sommes à la recherche d'un assistant technique pour se joindre à notre service d'ingénierie et nous aider à assumer diverses responsabilités dans la fabrication de produits textiles de haute performance, ainsi que de pompes et d'accessoires à haute pression.

Rôles et responsabilités :

- Soutenir l'ingénieur responsable dans divers projets tels que le développement de nouveaux produits, les projets de R&D, l'amélioration des processus et de l'outillage, etc.

- Concevoir des composants et des assemblages mécaniques en 2D et 3D

- Participation pratique à l'assemblage et aux essais des moteurs et des pompes.

- Soutenir les processus de fabrication et d'ingénierie, y compris l'approvisionnement en produits, la création et la mise à jour de nomenclatures, de procédures et d'instructions.

- Participer à l'entretien des installations et à l'amélioration continue

- Soutenir le service de contrôle de la qualité et la production.

Qualifications :

- Baccalauréat ou diplôme d'études collégiales (AEC/DEC/DEP) en génie mécanique ou l'équivalent.

- Personne responsable, ayant un penchant pour la mécanique, capable de travailler avec toutes les disciplines dans un environnement d'usine de fabrication en évolution rapide.

- Bonne attitude pour travailler individuellement ainsi qu'au sein d'une équipe technique dynamique sur plusieurs projets simultanément.

- Vous devez également faire preuve d'initiative, d'un grand sens des responsabilités et d'un bon jugement technique.

- Bonne connaissance de Solidworks et de la CAO 2D.

- Compétences approfondies en Microsoft Office.

- Une bonne connaissance de la maintenance, de l'usinage, des processus électriques et du contrôle mécanique est un atout.

- Une expérience des machines de production rotatives est un atout.

- Une expérience dans une usine de fabrication OEM est également un atout.

- Bilingue

- Horaires 8:00 à 5:00 (1 heure pour le déjeuner)

Mercedes Textiles Limited is an OE manufacturer of pumps, hose and firefighting accessories, located in West Island of Montreal. We are looking for a Technical Assistant to joint our Engineering department and aid in carrying out various plant responsibilities in the manufacture of high-performance textiles products, as well as high pressure pumps and accessories.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Support the responsible engineer in various projects such as new product development, R&D projects, process and tooling improvement, etc.
Design 2D and 3D mechanical components and assemblies
Hands-on involvement in engine/pump assembly and testing
Support manufacturing/engineering processes including product sourcing, creating and maintaining bills of material, procedures and instructions
Be involved in facilities maintenance and continuous improvement
Support quality control department and production

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma (AEC/DEC/DEP) in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Responsible, mechanically inclined, hands-on person who is able to work with all disciplines in a fast-paced manufacturing plant environment.
Good attitude to perform individually as well as within a dynamic technical team on multiple projects, simultaneously.
You must also be a person with initiative, strong sense of responsibility and good technical judgment
Good Solidworks and 2D CAD skills.
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with in maintenance, machining, electrical process and mechanical control is an asset.
Experience with rotary production machinery would be considered an asset.
Experience in an OEM manufacturing plant would also be an asset.
Bilingual
Hours 8:00 to 5:00 (1 hour lunch)
