About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shipping Supervisor to lead shipping operations within a fast-paced distribution and manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Distribution Center Manager, the successful candidate will provide hands-on leadership to the shipping team, ensuring products are shipped safely, accurately, and on schedule while maintaining high standards of quality, productivity, and safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong frontline leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys coaching teams to achieve operational excellence.

MUST HAVE:

Food and Manufacturing Supervisory Experience

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop Team Leads and Shipping Associates.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate operational priorities.
Provide ongoing performance feedback, training, and development support.
Lead by example and promote a positive workplace culture.

Operations & Coordination

Coordinate manpower, schedules, and workflows to ensure smooth shipping operations.
Monitor shipping activities to ensure customer orders are processed accurately and on time.
Collaborate with Production, Inventory, Receiving, and Transportation teams.
Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Support inventory management and equipment utilization initiatives.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Maintain a safe work environment through regular inspections and proactive hazard identification.
Support Health & Safety programs and promote safe work practices.
Ensure operational procedures are followed consistently.

Continuous Improvement

Assist with testing and implementation of new equipment, processes, and operational improvements.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and service levels.
Participate in process improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

Qualifications

3–5 years of supervisory or frontline leadership experience in shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operation.
Experience managing employees in a unionized environment is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is an asset.

Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
