Sous chef

Le 9e Montréal est à la recherche d'un sous-chef pour le restaurant Île de France. Le sous-chef doit aider à diriger la cuisine et doit donc posséder de nombreuses compétences. Il travaillera directement avec le chef cuisinier et maîtrisera tous les postes de la cuisine. Il doit gérer le personnel et les stocks, exécuter le service, travailler en étroite collaboration avec le chef de salle et le personnel de soutien. En plus de collaborer de manière créative, ils doivent également avoir une excellente compréhension de toutes les recettes et de tous les plats du menu, tout en respectant toutes les normes et réglementations en matière de santé et de sécurité. Les candidats doivent être professionnels et courtois. Les autres qualités requises sont les suivante:

Ponctualité
Attitude positive
Certification en manipulation des aliments, certification culinaire un atout
2 à 5 ans d'expérience dans les cuisines commerciales
Excellentes aptitudes à la communication et au travail d'équipe
Excellentes compétences en matière d'organisation, de gestion du temps et d'exécution de tâches multiples
Compréhension des normes de l'industrie et des meilleures pratiques culinaires
Sens aigu de l'odorat et du goût

Sous Chef

Le 9e Montreal is seeking a sous chef for the restaurant Île de France. The sous chef must help lead the kitchen and therefore must possess a wide variety of skills. They will work directly with the Head Chef and master all kitchen stations. They must manage staff and inventory, execute service, work closely with FOH manager and support staff. Aside from collaborating creatively they must also have an excellent understanding of all recipes and menu items while adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and standards. Applicants must be friendly and hardworking. Some other qualifications include:

Punctual
Positive attitude
Certification in food handling, culinary certification an asset
2-5 years prior experience in commercial kitchens
Great communication and teamwork skills
Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
Understanding of industry standards and best cooking practices
Strong sense of smell and taste
