Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, professional Host/Hostess to join our team and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest services, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for hospitality. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy their experience from arrival to departure. Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, but we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude above all.

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
Handle reservations and manage seating arrangements to optimize flow
Maintain a clean and organized host stand area
Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information or taking reservations as needed
Assist servers by relaying guest orders and special requests accurately
Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for reservations or seating management
Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and courteously
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of service and hospitality

Qualifications

Previous experience in guest services, serving, or hospitality is a plus; food service or restaurant experience is highly desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with diverse guests effectively
Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and demeanor aligned with hospitality standards
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
