Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Full Time Barn Worker to join our farm team.

Work days are weekends (required) plus up to 3 weekdays (we are flexible on which dayd and how many).

This role involves hands-on work in maintaining the barn and surrounding farm areas, supporting daily operations, and ensuring the well-being of livestock. Must have prior experience with horses. A familiarity with small ruminants is a bonus.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for farm life. This is a full-time position offering consistent employment and opportunities for skill development.

Duties

Assist with feeding, watering, and caring for livestock in the barn
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barn and equipment
Operate farm machinery such as tractors, feed dispensers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
Perform heavy lifting tasks related to feed bags, hay bales, and supplies
Repair or troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with farm machinery when needed
Assist with cleaning stalls, pens, and surrounding areas to ensure a healthy environment for animals
Support pasture management including fencing repairs and pasture rotation
Participate in daily farm routines and special projects as assigned

Requirements

Prior experience or familiarity with farm machinery and mechanical systems is preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly (up to 50 pounds or more)
Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the day
Strong work ethic with attention to safety protocols
Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
Willingness to learn new skills related to farm operationsThis position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic farm environment where physical activity and practical skills are valued. Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
