Registered Dietitian at The Balanced Practice

15 client hours/week - Contractual

Wage: Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience)

The Balanced Practice is a team of registered dietitians and therapists specialized in eating disorder treatment for teens and adults across Ontario.

Our Mission: We help people live fully by providing compassionate, collaborative, and inclusive care that redefines how eating disorders are treated, empowers folks in their recovery, and creates generational change in how we understand nutrition, body image, and mental health. Through individualized treatment, community programs, and broad-scale education & training, we drive systemic change and amplify the impact of healing.

Requirements:

o Ability to practice dietetics in the province of Ontario and be in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (bonus if you are registered with OPDQ)

o Ability to work IN PERSON at our Ottawa location for 15h/week

o Must have an anti-diet, weight-inclusive approach

o Have experience with eating disorders or disordered eating.

o Be aligned with The Balanced Practice’s value and mission.

o Must be available to work at least 1 evening/week.

>>Being bilingual in French and English is preferred

Responsibility:

o See one-on-one clients

o Administrative tasks (email follow-ups, sending invoices, charting, finding resources for clients)

o Participate in team meetings and clinical rounds

o Continued Education and Training

o Opportunity to facilitate group sessions and meal support
