Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to support with cleaning, laundry, and cooking duties in a family home - one day per week, for 6 to 8 hours.

We are a warm, busy family of 4. We have a 4 year old and a newborn. (However, this role does *not* include childcare services.)

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining an organized home, cooking, and helping families manage the day-to-day demands of a busy household.

Duties

Perform residential cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and organizing living spaces to maintain cleanliness and orderliness.
Manage laundry responsibilities such as washing, drying, and folding clothes and linens efficiently.
Prepare two nutritious meals according to specified preferences or dietary requirements.
Assist with grocery shopping and meal planning as needed.
Maintain an organized environment by tidying up common areas and organizing storage spaces.
Communicate effectively with household members to understand priorities and special requests.
Ensure all household tasks are completed in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hospitality.
Help maintain an organized and welcoming home environment

Qualifications

Language: English or French
Previous experience in housekeeping, household assistance, meal preparation, hospitality, caregiving, or a related role
Strong cooking skills and ability to prepare healthy, family-friendly meals. (Ability and experience cooking Caribbean or African food preferred)
Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Reliable, trustworthy, and self-directed
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable working independently
Legally entitled to work in Canada

What We Offer

Consistent weekly schedule (one day per week for 6 to 8 hours)
Friendly and respectful family environment

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 8.0 per week
