Are you hands-on, reliable, and eager to be part of a dynamic manufacturing team? Slimline Manufacturing is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shop Hand to join our dedicated workforce and support our production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Kitting Support

Assist with kitting according to work orders, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and pick lists as required.
Verify production kits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and readiness for production.
Deliver production kits to the shop floor in a timely manner to support production schedules.

Production Operations Support

Assist with a variety of shop tasks, including shop organization, equipment upkeep, and supporting daily production operations.
Provide general production support and assist with manufacturing-related tasks as required.

Equipment Maintenance

Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of shop tools and equipment, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and in safe working condition.

Shop Organization

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures and best practices.

Collaboration

Work closely with team members to communicate priorities, needs, and updates, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Support the Production Team with additional tasks and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Strong attention to detail and accuracy (critical for kitting).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs), work orders, and pick lists.
Minimum one (1) year of manufacturing experience preferred.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft 365.
ERP experience is considered an asset.
Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage changing priorities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Position requires standing for up to 8 hours with frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
Valid driver's licence.
