Full job description

Overview

The Grizz Hotel is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and assisting with laundry duties, while helping deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to hotel standards.
Make beds, replace linens, towels, and amenities, and ensure rooms are fully prepared for arriving guests.
Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, and sanitize all assigned areas.
Clean and restock guest bathrooms with towels, toiletries, and other required supplies.
Inspect rooms for cleanliness, maintenance concerns, and damaged or missing items, reporting any issues promptly.
Maintain the cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, lobby areas, guest laundry facilities, and other public spaces as assigned.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products in accordance with company procedures and WHMIS guidelines.
Follow daily room assignments and cleaning schedules while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Handle laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens
Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests when encountered.
Help maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies and notify the Housekeeping Supervisor when stock is running low.
Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as needed
Follow all hotel health, safety, and security procedures.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.

Experience

Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a guest-focused approach.
Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
Physically capable of lifting up to 25 lbs and performing repetitive tasks including bending, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak tourism periods.
