About the Role
We are hiring a Fleet & Tool Coordinator (Field) to support the day-to-day operation of Mianco Group's Fleet & Tool Department.
This is a hands-on field position responsible for ensuring our fleet, heavy equipment, trailers, tools and jobsite assets are organized, maintained, accounted for and ready to support operations across all Mianco companies.
Working under the direction of the Fleet & Tool Manager, you'll spend your time between our yard, active job sites, dealerships, vendors and repair facilities helping keep our operations running efficiently.

Primary ResponsibilitiesFleet Operations
- Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with the Fleet & Tool Manager.
- Deliver and pick up company vehicles and equipment from dealerships, repair facilities and vendors.
- Perform routine inspections of fleet vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Identify mechanical, safety or operational deficiencies and report them promptly.
- Ensure fleet vehicles and equipment are clean, organized and ready for daily operations.
- Assist with onboarding new fleet assets, including inspections, equipment setup and asset tagging.
Tool & Equipment Coordination
- Maintain accountability of company tools and equipment across all job sites and yard locations.
- Deliver and retrieve tools and equipment from active projects.
- Coordinate transfers of equipment between job sites.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are returned upon project completion.
- Inspect tools and equipment for damage, cleanliness and proper operation.
- Coordinate repairs or servicing of damaged tools and equipment.
- Assist with setup and mobilization of new projects.
Rental Equipment Coordination
- Coordinate rental equipment pickups and returns.
- Inspect rental equipment before acceptance and before return.
- Verify rented equipment is clean, complete and ready for use.
- Communicate equipment issues to the Fleet & Tool Manager.
Yard Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized and efficient yard.
- Organize tool containers, storage areas and equipment laydown areas.
- Ensure trailers, attachments, pumps, generators and portable equipment are properly stored.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment.
- Support inventory counts and seasonal yard organization.
Asset Tracking
Assist with tracking company assets using:
- Samsara Fleet & Asset Tracking
- John Deere Operations Center
- Kubota Telematics
- BusyBusy
- Acumatica
- Google Workspace
Responsibilities include:
- Applying and maintaining asset tags.
- Verifying equipment locations.
- Recording transfers between sites.
- Assisting with physical inventory counts.
- Reporting missing or damaged assets.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario G Class Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.
- Minimum two years of experience working with construction equipment, fleet operations or equipment logistics.
- Strong knowledge of construction tools, heavy equipment and trailers.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
