Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing trailers, with a strong understanding of various mechanical systems. This role requires proficiency in using power tools and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The Trailer Mechanic will work on a variety of trailer types and must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Edmonton Trailer Sales & Leasing has been serving Western Canada's transportation industry for over 20 years. We are a full-service dealership with locations in Edmonton, Whitecourt, and Grande Prairie. Offering truck and trailer sales alongside a knowledgeable finance department, a comprehensive parts warehouse, dynamic rental fleet, as well as an experienced service department.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, ensuring they are safe and operational.
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
Conduct inspections of trailers to identify potential problems.
Assist in heavy lifting and moving of trailers as required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with trailers or similar industrial equipment
Valid Alberta CVIP inspection license is required
Strong knowledge of air and electrical systems
Ability to operate overhead cranes is considered an asset
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day
Experience working in a dealership environment is advantageous but not required
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
