Chef / Kitchen Manager – Solena Brunch & Bar

Location: 1224 St. Clair Ave W, Toronto, ON

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience + performance bonuses

About Solena

Solena Brunch & Bar is an exciting new brunch destination in Toronto's Corso Italia neighbourhood. We are focused on elevated breakfast, brunch, artisan coffee, fresh ingredients, and exceptional guest experiences in a modern and energetic atmosphere.

We're looking for a passionate Head Chef who wants to help build a kitchen from the ground up and grow with our company.

Responsibilities

Lead all daily kitchen operations
Prepare and execute high-quality brunch dishes with consistency
Train, coach and supervise kitchen staff
Maintain food quality and presentation standards
Manage food preparation, ordering and inventory
Control food costs and minimize waste
Develop prep schedules and kitchen systems
Ensure all health, food safety and sanitation standards are followed
Work closely with ownership to improve menu items and seasonal features
Maintain a clean, organized and efficient kitchen

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
Strong breakfast and brunch experience is highly preferred
Experience opening a new restaurant is considered a major asset
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Knowledge of inventory management and food costing
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Food Handler Certification
Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
