Isabella’s is looking to hire two or three new baristas/Front of House staff at our Union Station Cafe location!

We are looking to work with people that are optimistic, good at creating welcoming environments, skilled at making cafe drinks, have customer service experience and are comfortable solving problems in a thoughtful way.

If you’re a people person that loves a sweet treat, is able to work in people-focused environments, and has 1 year of barista experience, you’re kind of the perfect fit for this! We want to hire YOU to join our team! This would be a role good role for someone that wants to:

What you’ll do:

Deliver warm, personalized hospitality to every guest — you’re the reason people start their day with a smile
Take and prepare orders with accuracy, energy, and a bit of flair
Master our curated drink menu designed by Head Barista John, including staple café favorites and ever-evolving seasonal features
Craft each beverage with care - from silky lattes to our signature iced matcha creations - and pair them with our famous donuts
Take donut orders and support customers when making flavour selection
Keep the café environment sparkling, stocked, and flowing smoothly
Confidently manage payments and transactions with precision and a friendly attitude
Jump into opening and closing tasks with ease, making sure each shift starts and ends strong
Tackle guest needs and feedback with grace, thoughtfulness, and a problem-solving mindset
Show up as an enthusiastic ambassador for the Isabella’s brand - you make every interaction count

Your experiences and skills:

We’re looking for someone who has one year of barista experience/customer service and thrives in people-focused environments – you love making connections and brightening someone’s day.

Excellent guest service skills – you genuinely enjoy meeting new people and creating positive interactions
Ability to multitask and stay cool under pressure – you can juggle a line of guests, keep orders moving, and stay composed
A passion for good coffee and cafe drinks! You will be an ambassador for our brand and take great pride in what you do
A love for donuts, and great hospitality – you’re excited to learn about our menu and share that enthusiasm with guests
Team-oriented mindset – you’re all about collaboration and bringing good vibes to the crew
Strong communication skills – whether it’s chatting with guests or working with teammates, you know how to keep things running smoothly
Authenticity – you bring a positive attitude and a sense of integrity to everything you do

Also, in this role, you will be:

Standing for extended periods of time
Lifting trays, boxes, and other essentials as needed
Moving quickly in a fast-paced environment
Working around heat (ovens, coffee machines) and noise (busy shop, espresso grinders)
Eating many delish donuts

Job Type:

Part-time (15 - 25 hours per week)

Additional Pay/Benefits:

Hourly wage

Note

You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Start date is flexible, with preference given to those that can start immediately.
This position is for the Isabella’s Union location only.
