About Leena's Cookies Leena's Cookies is a premium artisan bakery specializing in handcrafted gourmet cookies and baked goods made with high-quality ingredients.

As our brand continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our production team, maintain exceptional product quality, develop new products, and oversee the training and development of our bakery staff.

Position Summary

The Head Pastry Chef will oversee all pastry and cookie production operations, supervise and mentor bakery staff, ensure consistent product quality, maintain food safety standards, and assist in the continued growth and expansion of the Leena's Cookies brand. This is a senior leadership position requiring extensive experience managing bakery operations and leading pastry teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct and evaluate all pastry and bakery production. Supervise, train, mentor and evaluate bakers, pastry cooks and bakery staff.

Develop, standardize and maintain recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation. Produce premium cookies, designer cakes, pastries and specialty baked goods.

Create seasonal menus and innovative bakery products. Oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand.

Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation and health regulations. Manage inventory of ingredients and bakery supplies.

Order bakery ingredients, equipment and supplies as required. Minimize food waste and monitor production efficiency.

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of bakery equipment. Maintain high standards of quality control and presentation.

Assist in recruiting, training and developing bakery staff. Establish production procedures and quality assurance standards.

Support the expansion of Leena's Cookies by developing training systems and operational procedures for future bakery locations. Work collaboratively with ownership to improve operations, product offerings and customer satisfaction.

Employment Requirements

Applicants must possess: Minimum 10 years of supervisory experience as a Pastry Chef in a commercial bakery, pastry shop or similar establishment.

Demonstrated experience creating designer cakes, premium cookies and a wide variety of artisan pastries.

A professional portfolio showcasing designer cakes, gourmet cookies and other pastry creations. Previous experience owning or operating a bakery business, including responsibility for bakery operations, production management and staff supervision. Extensive experience training, supervising and mentoring bakery employees. Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.

Thorough knowledge of food safety, sanitation and commercial bakery operations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product consistency and quality. Preferred Qualifications Formal culinary or pastry arts education.

Experience developing recipes and scaling production for retail bakeries. Experience opening or expanding bakery operations.

Experience implementing operational procedures and staff training programs. Benefits Competitive compensation.
