SUMMARY

The Truck Sales Representative will be responsible for prospecting new business, managing client relationships, and driving sales of new Mack trucks. This role requires a strong ability to connect with customers, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop a thorough understanding of heavy-duty trucks, Mid – Ontario services, and financing options.
Identify and research potential customers through cold calling, networking, trade shows, and referrals.
Qualify leads to ensure they are a strong fit for the company’s products and services.
Act as the primary point of contact for customer needs, concerns, and follow-ups.
Foster long-term trust and loyalty through regular communication with new and existing customers.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations tailored to client needs.
Customize solutions that align with customer requirements.
Guide customers through the purchasing process with professionalism and care.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract agreements.
Finalize agreements, secure deposits, and close sales effectively.
Overcome objections and ensure a positive customer experience.
Coordinate with Service, Parts and Finance departments to ensure smooth product delivery.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities.
Conduct follow-ups to gather feedback, identify upselling opportunities, and resolve any issues.
Share customer insights and market feedback with management.
Prepare forecasts, activity reports, and track progress against targets.
Stay current with industry trends, competitive offerings, and market conditions.
Attend Training courses as required.
Travel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required to successfully perform the job.

EDUCATION & OR EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 5 years of heavy truck sales experience
Comfortable with computer applications
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies

LANGUAGE SKILLS

High standard of fluency in English for both oral and written correspondence.

CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATION

Class AZ License an asset

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is required to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
