Full job description

We are looking for applicants interested in a position as a professional Strata Property Manager. Being currently registered in the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA) Strata Management course or already licensed as a Strata Property Manager, would help accelerate a career with our dynamic and professional team. Employment includes a training period to help become familiar with our systems and processes and learn how to care for your developing portfolio of properties located in the Greater Victoria area on Vancouver Island..

Those responsibilities are as follows:

Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

Effective oral and written communication skills.
Facilitation or presentation experience an asset.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency.
Ability to build and maintain working relationships with office staff, tradespeople, strata council members and residents.
Ability to meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service in a high volume and fast paced business environment.
Class 5 driver’s license.
BCFSA Strata Management License or registered in the RECBC Strata Management course.
Strata property management experience an asset.
Proficient in MS Office Software - Excel, Outlook, Word, and QuickBooks experience an asset.

Strata Property Management candidate will be responsible to:

Assist and advise the strata councils on their role and responsibilities in understanding the Strata Property Act and other relevant legislation and how to apply the strata corporations’ bylaws and rules.
Assist in the management and maintenance of the common property and common assets as directed by the Strata Council.
Prepare annual strata budgets, ensure collection of fees, levies and all items on accounts are received and paid on time.
Review strata financials and prepare reports for council as required by the Strata Property Act.
Procure services required by the strata by obtaining and analyzing service provider quotes for council’s approval, verifying invoices, overseeing contractor work and coordination of special projects.
Prepare, organize, and guide a variety of regular scheduled council meetings, annual general meetings and special general meetings as required for the management of the properties and in accordance with the company’s client contracts.
Work with the support teams in performing administrative functions (prepare notices, update building and owner information etc.).
Other duties and projects may be assigned based on operational requirements and in accordance with the management services.

Base: $60,000 (negotiable based on experience) increasing in time with an opportunity to earn greater than $100,000 within a year with a full portfolio.
